Pre-School Storytime at Sayre Public Library
The 2010 Summer Reading Program theme is water and "Make A Splash At Your Library ...Read." The Sayre Public Library and the Valley Kiwanis are busy brainstorming ideas to fill their Summer Reading Program schedule with activities that support the theme. It promises to be lots of fun, filled with excitement- including a magic show, beach party, comedy show, as well as, educational and just plain cool! The program includes weekly prizes, giveaways and snacks. Registration begins June 1st.
Exciting News! Sayre Public Library is one of the seventy public libraries in 21 states selected by the American Library Association (ALA) to receive $5,000 grants as part of “The American Dream Starts @ your library®” literacy project. This initiative is funded by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation. Sayre Public Library joins libraries in large cities and rural towns throughout Dollar General’s market area. We will use these funds to build innovative literacy services for adult English language learners living and working in their communities. Stay tuned for more information!
